Swami Amritsagar holds an honours degree in Computer Science and Psychology, and her interest in helping and empowering others recently led her to complete a second degree, BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, in 2019. She has been practicing yoga since 1988 and resided in Satyanandashram Hellas, just outside Athens, Greece, for 10 years, where she qualified as a Yoga Instructor in the Satyananda Yoga tradition in 2004. She has been giving yoga classes since 2008, and after leaving the ashram, she moved to Thessaloniki, in northern Greece, to translate yoga books and publications and manage a yoga publishing house there for seven years.
Amritsagar is always looking for opportunities to share her experience and the physical, mental, lifestyle and spiritual benefits of yoga with others through yoga classes, activities and seminars in Greece and abroad. She regularly visits India and remains connected with the Bihar School of Yoga and the tradition for her own personal development and well-being as a yoga student. She believes that expanding one's awareness and cultivating the natural ability to open up into the present and connect with one's inner truth, remain the essence of healing and living.
