Dharana Training is suitable for those who are interested in exploring dharana, concentration, deepening self-discovery and awakening their inner potential. Dharana is the raja yoga experience and attainment of concentrated mental awareness. The aim of Dharana Training is to develop the ability to remain in a state of focus and one-pointed awareness, whereby anything can be an object of concentration, an idea, an image, a sound and any activity of daily life.
In Dharana Training, the experiences of the pratyahara techniques, such as yoga nidra, kaya sthairyam, ajapa japa and antar mouna, are deepened so that the state of concentration is attained and then maintained for a period of time. Dharana is not limited to a classroom practice; it is an attitude, a skill and a way of life.
Knowledge and experience of basic techniques of pratyahara, e.g., yoga nidra, kaya sthairyam, ajapa japa and antar mouna, is required, as well as previous training at Bihar School of Yoga. Dharana Training is not for people who are new to yoga.
